I can do this on my hair and it's about bra-strap length when straight, but I love it anyway. Even on my curly hair. It works awesomely and I can even leave the braids in overnight and do other hairstyles (I left a video response with the other hairstyle, too) so, thank you Loepsie!

my hair is not long enough to cross the braids so i just braid them like you and then when i'm finished i use bobby pins to secure them in place and they look like they are crossed

i always briad my hair like this for archery class
