ProjectIM3 is a video- and audio-based primer for the junior medicine clerk. It is a work in progress.

For now, the audio is available for free. When the project is complete, I will be selling the audio series for a nominal price.

  • 4:56...The European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) recently recommended screening patients at mod to high risk for CV disease for increased Lp(a), and to treat with niacin (1-3 g/day) to bring below 50mg/dL (after treating for LDL first). Interestingly, the consensus statement was made despite there being any adequate randomized control trials selectively targeting plasma levels of Lp(a), so I doubt this will have much impact any time soon on how we currently practice in the states, but FYI.
