I'm sure they'll release a killer trailer the closer we get to the end of this month.

Can someone tell me why the TNG originals always had this red/pink hue in the pilot episode?

And yet The Inner Light is the grainiest of the episodes on the new teaser disc, and that's season 5. I guess each reel is unique though.

I know that, I was answering someone else asking why it wasn't widescreen. Although the videotapes are neither here nor there as regards this, as they went back to the original elements for this release. There actually was more screen information as it was filmed in the the Academy Aperture on 35mm, but there was too much in the way (lights stands and crew etc.) to get a clean 16:9 frame. I'm fine with that though, I prefer it when they respect the OAR.

Filmed originally in 35mm film and then transfered to videotape, widescreen was not a practical medium to use in the years this show aired (1987 - 1994), not for episodic television, so your $hit out of luck pal.
