My peach face lovebird update 1

Lovebirds from what I was told are very hard to tame. I recently picked up one from a pet shop I named her Cricket. I will be making a series of videos about Cricket and how she is doing.

Hi, beautiful healthy looking bird. She will become very tame but if you want bonding it would be best to hand rear from around 10 days old, or just before their eyes open. You want to be the first thing the chick see's. It is alot of hard work feeding around the clock and not much sleep for you, but will give you the result of bonding that you want

hey...feed her millet in ur hands adn just watch her.. my lovie is now 2 years and he still prefers to eat anything out of my hands more than in the cage. I also taught him to give me kisses for millet and now he just kisses now n then ..even makes kissing noises :)

Hey nice lovebird, how old is it? I have a 2month old, and his beak has almost lost all the black. Anyways an easy way to check if it's a boy or girl is if you turn its over slightly touch inbetween it's legs and if their is a bump it is mostlikely male and if their isn't it's a female. The best way to check is to get blood tests done by an avian vet. Hope that helps!

I was also thinking it's a male, because of the character; females are more agressive in general and need more time to be tamed.. The female lovebirds I know aren't that calm and need a lot of time before you are able to pet them.

Lovebirds cannot be sexed by color.

Cricket might be a boy, because of the upright posture and the stance is not wide like you see in females.
