Whenever I start to fix their food, both my IG's love to corner one of the cats and bark at them. The cats figure the dogs have "issues" and never hiss or claw at them, but it is too funny how this is the only time they bark at the cats.
I think the fact the cats were already here when Flicka came and Reddy was raised with one of the kittens has them all thinking they are the same type critters, just sniff a little different.
My old dogs (non iggies) would decide to chase the cat every time the kids started rough-housing - it was the strangest thing!
My cat is now almost 18 and she has my two iggies well trained - she is definitely alpha. I'm impressed your cats don't try to kick some iggy butt....
