Nick Irons grew up watching multiple sclerosis (MS) slowly destroy his father...until he saw the Mississippi river on a cross-country flight and decided to swim the length of the river to fight MS. But he may have jumped in over his head. Swim Lessons: The Nick Irons Story is about how family, friends, and complete strangers helped Nick on his daunting and often dangerous journey to help his dad. It is a story about compassion, commitment, hope, and love. This is the full-length trailer for the upcoming documentary by Alex Houston. It introduces the characters and reveals some more of the storyline. Visit the film website at www.swimlessonsmovie.com

  • The film is on the festival circuit. Audiences have responded well to it, and the filmmakers are in talks with a number of distributors. So far no decisions have been reached.

  • When does this come out? It looks amazing. We have MS in our family and apparently the incidence of MS in general is growing. We need more research, and that will only happen when enough people get on the bandwagon. Congratulations Alex and Nick and everyone involved.

  • I can't wait to see the film - what a great story! I have friends with MS, so this really hits a nerve.

  • Cool idea for a documentary, I'm looking forward to it.

  • Fabulous and inspiring!

  • my sister Denise sent me an email about this video. you're right about the 2 degrees of seperation; my brother and 2 of our cousins have ms. Thank you for lending your courage and your strength to this cause. The ripples you make swimming the mississippi will surely make a wave across the world as there are people everywhere effected by this ravaging heart breaking disease.
