My god you are an idiot. How is that people STILL don't understand how the video PROCESSING works.

@aviatorman78 Type "ps3mediaserver' in Google and the first link should direct you to a project on goolge code. They have a version for windows, mac and linux. The linux version works but I had a problem with subtitles in mkv. The windows version works perfect. They also have xbox360 support.

@videogameobsession you obviously don't watch anything here, all their programs are in HD, it just takes a while to process large content.

Personally I set vids as private until they've processed as HD then released them publically.
But yeah, for channels such as these that are partners with loads of viewers/subscribers, I agree Youtube should do something like you proposed.

Youtube takes a hour or so for it to be in HD... I just wish Youtube didnt let people watch them till it was ready.
Streaming video to your xbox??? welcome to 2006!!!

Let me rephrase this. Why is it so blocky IN HD?
It seems like they are encoding it without the use of a multi-pass high end software.
I have been encoding in 1080p for many years now and with an extremely low budget I can get results that are much better than this.
I was just saying, that for a company that holds high standards for HD clarity they should really try for better themselves.
Hopefully the new YT 1080p spec will inspect and restrict low bitrate vids before the encoding process.
