Marjorie Barstow was the first person to graduate from F. Matthias Alexander's first Alexander Technique teacher training course in in London in 1934. She assisted Alexander's Brother Alfred Redden Alexander in Boston and New York and then moved back to her hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska where she taught for well over 50 years. During the last 20 years of her life, she spent a great deal of time teaching workshops around the world. When Marjorie died in 1995, she was almost 96 years old.
