The climactic scene from a canceled Kilk 'n Play game envisioned 10 years ago.
Doom2Pika: Shoot2Hell was intended as a preemptive jab at Pokemon before the craze reached any height in the United States. [Additional Note: News of the episode "Electric Soldier Porygon," which sent over 600 ill-fated Japanese children to the hospital, had just reached the US at this time.] Doom2Pika was to feature fully voiced dialog sequences, subtitles, creative special effects, and other aspects not yet seen in Klik 'n Play's restrictive, buggy engine.
As time went by, we realized that Doom2Pika was not meant to be. The game's development slowed and, unfortunately, was not finished before the Pokemon franchise captured the hearts of the American public. By the time the idea to "go episodic" came to the table, Doom2Pika's "window of opportunity" had already come and gone. Nevertheless, the game's creators look upon this humorous scene fondly.
Now, you can too, assuming you took the time to read this.
-----Update-----
Nothing says current like updating 10+ years later. (Or, whenever I uploaded this.) YouTube has a new "Machine Transcription" option, which tries to automatically add subtitles. I knew what it would splurt out would be comedic gold, and, sure enough, "I get very itchy to reconsider." Enjoy.
