i think Keiko died bc he missed us.
he didnt want to eat or go out to the ocean.
thats why he came back and got pneumonia.he was a very special soul.
i dont look at him as just an animal nor should you.
hes like steve irwin.they both gave there lives to try to educate ppl about animals.
yes he lived most of his life in captivity.but it was for the good of his species.
i just hope we as ppl learn from these types of scenarios.
he was 1 of a kind.
there will never be anouther Keiko RIP my friend.

I don't think there was anyone who didn't love this whale, he was the pioneer for prospective releasing of whales. He died where he belonged, I watch these whales here in WA all the time, there is nothing more pure than to watch them in the wild. I just hope that Luna will one day come home to WA where she was ripped away from her family. Her pod is still here. It was a devastating blow to lose Keiko, but I believe he was where he was supposed to be.

the comment of browngreen00 made me cry because Keiko was so an amazing Whale that he came to he or she is so... awesome! I wish that I saw him but I was just 9 years old when he came to Oregon! So I never saw him... today I think that this is very sad! I read the comments of persons who saw him and get everytime shiny eyes or I cry!
I think it is a very awesome experience for a small child when a Whale which never came up to anyone came up to one child because he saw pain inside!
R.I.P. KEIKO!
