  • In vietnam we had armed forces radio and once in a while they would play a baseball game. I remember one day in 1969 we got to listen to the Dodgers and the Reds. With Mr. Scully handling the duties we were all assured the "world" was still there. some of us made it home, some didn't. We all loved him because he was our America.

  • Los Angeles is blessed to have two of the greatest announcers in their respective sports

    Chick Hearn and Vin Scully

  • @oneman91 Just like how the Yankees were blesseed to have PA Annoucer Bob Sheppard (Yanks PA Annoucer 1957-2007)

  • Scully said O-Dog! :D

  • I only watch Baseball games becasue of him

  • I could listen to Vin Scully read the phone book

  • FOX needs to do whats right and let vin announce a game in the world series one more time.me being born in 1990, I have never heard his voice on the greatest stage. And the dodgers need to do the right thing and get to a world series before he retires!!!

  • @msk7046 well his name is actually vincent, or vince, or vin. he just goes by vin. so you were never wrong in your thinking it was vince

  • @aaronandaustin123 i wouldnt be suprised (and i think it would be WELL deserved) if he got the loudest and longest standing ovation in dodger stadium history.

  • @oneman91

Here in NY, It is Marv Albert and Mel Allen. But Scully and Hearn were great too.

  • i swear when vin scully retires ill cry, the iconic "It's time for Dodger baseball!" will no longer be heard. this 2011 season im going to watch every game
