Remember the '80s? Way back when Terry Branstad was governor, he raised Iowa's sales tax by 67 percent. The gas tax and business taxes increased. Governor Branstad gave his friends and contributors sweetheart deals, but cut money for schools, seniors, and law enforcement. Terry Branstad: Some things should just stay in the past.

  • Brandstad=career politician.

  • What does it tell you, Republican voters, that the Democratic party is running ads trying to get you to vote for somebody other than Terry Branstad in the Republican primary?

  • Glad to see that this add- unlike the other anti-Branstad ads that have been on TV lately- is honest enough to admit that it is paid for by the Democratic Party.

    Now what does that tell you, Republican primary voters?
