@debgirl12000 A lot of people are babied by their mothers, far more then this guy was. It does not mean you are going to grow up with a bunch of psychological disorders and wear peoples skin. There is more to it then that. If you think severing a relationship with the person that gave you the gift of life then youre a complete idiot. You have less then 100 years to live and study the universe around you. That is not a long time to spend with the people that are actually important to you in life.

The reason why Ed Gein was labeled as 13 on the scale of evil is because even though he was severely insane, most insane people would not even commit or have done the acts that he has because of how gruesome they were. He was very insane, but the things that he done at the time were considered so gruesome that nobody thought that a person was capable of such things.

But my questions are "Why is Gein considered a serial killer when he killed only 2 people and he knew them, he knew Mary Hoogan because he spends time at her bar and Bernice Wordan because he buys antifreeze from her hardware store?" my other question is "Why put Gein on here when he's not considered an evil man but a helpful man with mental problems? Some of this dosen't make sense to me. Why have all these thoughts about Gein when he's nothing like that?

Ed Gein was the model for the movie, "PSYCHO" by Alfred Hitchcock. Ed Gein was emasculated by his mother. These mothers need to stop babying their sons for real! This man was mentally ill and his mom knew it. He was to dependent on her for everything.
