Why I'm voting Mebyon Kernow

Why I'm voting Mebyon Kernow in the Council, Euro elections 4th June 2009 and in the General election.

Well you have a local Cornish alternative in MK in the Cornwall Council and Euro elections 4th June, and next General election.

MK are standing in 33 of the 123 seats in total up for election on the Cornwall Council, but if there is no local MK Cornwall Council candidate in your area why not show your disapproval of the "politics of greed" and vote for an independent or the Green party ? It is important to send a strong message of protest to Westminster over the marginalisation of Cornwall and the financial shenanigans of some of the Westminster MPs.

Mebyon Kernow has been been fighting for a better deal for Cornwall for over 50 years. It cannot even get a TV broadcast on those regional TV stations that cover Cornwall. I feel disenfranchised & also angry that a party that only wishes to represent Cornwall is forced into a position where it has to compete with political parties who will gain votes from the whole "South West region" in the Euro elections.

To qualify for broadcast on TV, MK would have to stand in at least nine regions. However in Wales and Scotland parties only have to stand in one region to qualify.

None of the retiring MEPs representing Labour, Tory, LibDem and Ukip are resident in Cornwall, and none of the current candidates for the three main political parties live in Cornwall. By contrast, MK's six candidates all live and work in Cornwall.

Remember that all Cornish people, or those supporting Cornish aspirations, living in the vast "SW Euro-constituency" can vote for MK, even if they are not living in Cornwall.

Don't blame me I vote for Mebyon Kernow!

The only ones short on real facts and decision making regarding Cornwall are the Westminster based parties. Which one will you voting for pucinhel - tory,ukip,bnp, nulab or libdem ? Doesn't really make any difference, all they know about Cornwall is that it's a nice place for their weekend break or second home. Even Cornwall's objective one funding from Europe has to be administered from outside the Duchy by unelected quangos. MK is not even permitted a tv broadcast like all the other parties !
