@311Egar said "legal consequences"
Skaters are typically rebellious types, whereas most seasoned adults have unfortunately forgotten their ability to stand up to presumed authority figures / institutions. I'm in my mid-thirties and would probably behave like these 'punks' you describe in a similar situation. Being a servile sycophant is no way to be, especially if we ever hope to reduce the ever-increasing onslaught of the police / government state. Punks, you say, I say long live the rebels.

@311Egar said "officers may give lawful orders. do you deny that fact?"
I don't deny that anyone many give another an order to follow, but the recipient always has the free will to decide what their own response will be. It's what separates us from robots. Free will allows individuals to question that which they don't understand, or indeed, believe to be right. Always question authority in order to set yourself free. It's your choice.

@311Egar aid "all he was doing was informing them of what they could be cited for. he didn't tell them to act like punks"
The cop clearly had a grudge (probably because they questioned the rules) and seemed intent on using one of the many pitiful draconian laws at his disposal against them. I'd call that arrogant bullying coupled with a strong mesiah complex. As John Lydon once said "rules are for fools." Incidentially, no-one can 'order' you to do anything, they may only make requests.
i think that cop is a nazi, oh and fuck san franfreakshow, its full of queers and commies.

"You may not sit on a surface that's not designed for people to sit on" - That's totalitarianism gone mad. What a patronising bully this guy is.
