A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story 10/10

This made for tv docudrama stars Meredith Baxter-Birney as Betty Broderick, a former San Diego socialite convicted of the November 5, 1989 murder of her former husband Dan Broderick and his second wife, Linda Kolkena. After sixteen years of marriage and four children, Betty Broderick's high-powered attorney husband, Dan Broderick (Stephen Collins), decides to leave her for Linda Kolkena (Michelle Johnson) with whom he's been having an affair. Hurt by his betrayal and feeling helpless against his legal expertise, Betty begins a campaign of vandalism and verbal assault. Her rage consumes her and ultimately leads to a terrible and violent act.

@blacksmartie He was petty, vindictive, and took every opportunity he could to humiliate and emotionally abuse Betty. this describes about 70% ofthe human race unfortunately. Yup. Dan's a douche and i don't think anybody questions that.

Murder is always the wrong way to settle scores.

Very upsetting to watch. I wonder if her kids visit her in prison. This is a good warning for all of those young girls out there looking for a sugar daddy. The ex just may be a vindictive nut like Betty. If they hadn't been shot, the new family would still get hassled, so honey bunch #2 probably would have wanted to leave eventually from the stress.

Meredith did a fabulous job with that part. I wonder if she got an award for that.

@scumgod13 I found in Jan 2010 she went up for parole and said some great things until she was asked about her actions the Parole board denied her due to her continued claims that her husbands extramarital affair is the cause of her actions. She is not eligible to parole again for 15years and she is already 62yrs old so 15 more years is a long time for a 62yr old .. =0S

@groovylocks first of all you have it backwards about the character in this movie,she was the stalker the crazy person and couldn't stand to see dan with another woman,it wasn't about the money and valuables to her,it was about the new wife,it was competition she made it out to be,she barely gave attention to her kids cos she was busy trying to see what dan was doing with his new life.so get the story right and no you are the douche bag fool!! BYE!

She never cared about her kids or she would have let their father continue earning millions of dollars for them to be raised on.She's stupid.She was living on 16,000 Dollars monthly alimony.Adjusted for inflation.Today's numbers,about 32,000 dollars monthly.Instead,she earns nothing for the kids.Tax payers feed her convicted felon fat ass.She's a waste of oxygen.She should have been put down.She ruined her kids lives to the worst of her ability.
