I don't know what your idea of "plate discipline" is, but the guy's only walked 45 times in 171 career games...which means he does NOT have much patience at the plate AT ALL. But he's improved this season, and I think he'll continue to improve. He only turned 23 in August, so he has a long career ahead of him.

the only reason he didnt make it to the all star team cause of the philles manager char;ie manuel and there was a guy that was on the all star team and he put a guy from his own team on the all stars and i think pablo got enough patience

Hitting .332 for the season. slugging over .500. obp around .380. only 22 years old? what's not to like????? when he learns a little more patience at the plate, he's going to make a lot of all star teams.
