A simple, low cost permanent magnet synchronous DC motor is attached to an exercise bicycle with a roller and used as a electric generator.
The output of the electric generator is connected to a load of four 250 Watt lamps connected in parallel.
As the rider pedals the load is increased sequentially from 250 W, 500 W, 750 W to 1 kW.

  • I'm looking for a bike like this to make my own generator. Is this bike frame something unique?

  • hang on.. i just read the info from jazzani 95. going all the way up to 1 kw =more than 1 hp. that guy would be lucky if he is putting out more than 100 watts.?

  • how many watts were those bulbs ?

they dont tell us much about whats going on.. we draw our own conclusions...
