  • Nice animation but what the..? Coal? Don't you mean SHALE? Please revise: The harm from fracking is enormous: People must get accurate info. E.g. on the numerous toxins in flowback fluid, open evaporation pits & injection wells that have been POSITIVELY linked to earthquakes: See New York Times articles Jan 2 & 3, 2012 re quakes in Youngstown OH. Gas plays hv been wildly inflated: See SEC ruling last Aug. We're wrecking our habitat 4 what? See my youtube postings of testimonies.

  • @scanditube

Apparently coal seams is also correct. Thanks for your comment.

  • Just two words for you. 1. Horse 2. Shit

  • @cadenconnolly

such a well worded comment. You must make your family so proud.

  • @mylesbeeby The clip shown in "Burning Water" was PROVEN to have been the result of drilling a water well into a natural gas deposit. Besides, coal is very soft and would be pointless to frac. Perhaps you meant to say "shale?"

  • @DrMotorDude

Thanks for the clarification... I only did the animation , not the script.

Hope you have water in your kitchen. :)

  • Wait a minute - this animation shows the fracking of a coal seam, which is something vastly different from fracking a gas well. Coal is close to the surface and it is quite possible that fracking will contaminate ground water. Natural gas is much, much deeper than ground water and Oklahoma state claims no serious contamination has occurred.

  • If it was so bad for the environment, Bill Clinton, or Obama would have shut it down. Where is the proof? It's all conjecture, at this point.

  • People fucking up our planet.

  • New hydraulic fracturing (fracking) processes are creating excessive toxic waste water that has no way to remove the toxicity. The burden of trying to figure out what to do with all of the toxic waste has fallen on local communities, and they are overwhelmed with the poisonous chemicals. Then there is the leakage of this toxic fluid into ground water supplies. Drinking water, water used for livestock and irrigation are also affected. Hopefully they will be held accountable soon.

Luckily there's a movement afoot to do just that. Search "criminalize fracking" or "frackbusters." Sadly Richard Grossman passed away recently. He was a co-founder or FrackBusters. But his concept is very much alive, as witnessed at the DEC hearing in Tribeca in November. The challenge is great: Fracking isn't even held accountable to EXISTING laws protecting our environment. People must be EDUCATED, and fast.

    u mad?

  • @carl4766 "When fresh water is next to coal, and have been in the oil and gas for 35 years" For a man with 35 years of experience you seem to know little about cement or partial cement failures alowing gas or frac fluid to come up around the caseing long string.. And I'm glad you can analize the gas in the video just by looking at it ,instead of haveing it analized by a lab to see where it's comeing from Mr oil feild halfwit ,your nearly as smart as a box of hamers !...
