There's a difference between secular and religious private schools. Catholic private schools have a solid reputation and their students have high SAT scores. This negativity of homeschoolers towards private schools needs to stop. We both have similar foundation (training children the way we want to) and a common enemy: the government-funded public school system. We should be banding together to fight the government instead of criticizing each other.

I recently read the book Outliers by Gladwell. One of the chapters discusses the KIPP school in the Bronx/NY. African American children who grow up in rough neighbourhoods, but end up among the highest scoring students on math tests, of the whole country. It was interesting information.

Private schools have to match the states requirements. Gov't school are now only interested in indoctrinating your child into this new world system. May The Most High protect all the homeschooled children alot of wicked laws are about to come down.

My 1 1/2 year old niece was singing along with you. LOL We have been teaching her as she stays with us along with her brother during the day. 4 kids in the house at once...how's that for socialization? LOL

First of all, your child is abolutely adorable!
But regarding the homeschooling: I don't think its for every parent. I think in some cases it can even be a blessing for a child to be exposed to a different world than the one they know at home.

Thanks but even if you do not homeschool your child I think all parents should try their best to be involved in their children's education. Many parents depend on the school system to put their children in the right direction and that just will not happen.
