resegregation? WOW
The Wake County School Board has done nothing wrong. There is no racism involved in this, just like there is no racism in Arizona.
-
People are starting to realize what I've been saying for a long time and have been called a racist. which is people perfect the company of others like themselves, which is why multiculturalism isn't and has never worked.

Good luck Wake County!
I hope you succeed in your resegregation! Many Americans of all races support you!

@Piriathy All this does (the calling something racist that isn't) is to make you sound like you know what you are talking about. Unless you LIVE IN or are FROM Wake County I'd suggest you sit down and be quiet. Have you ever once thought about how much it costs to bus all these kids to schools they really don't want to go to? Is putting kids in kindergarten on a bus for two hours really a smart thing to do?

@whoisit87 Some people call it "financial racism" where there is more emphasis on finance than race.
Jackass.
-
@FactChecking101 It has worked and black and white students like it. The problem is that there is no money the problem is that it really hurts everyone. To many adults get emotional and have their on motives

@whoisit87 The racism may not be intentional, but because of residential segregation, not busing will lead to less diverse schools, and poorer minority schools because of their socio-economic status. It's not intentional, but will lead to similar results of less diversity and opportunity in schools. I'm writing a paper about this. :) Its fascinating but could have a very sad ending for students who like the way things are. Where is their say?
-
@FactChecking101 Actually diverse schools have shown an improvement in student test scores as opposed to ethnically homogeneous schools. And apparently many Wake County parents were satisfied with busing, but did not turn out to vote for the school board members. It is partially their fault for not being politically active and voting, but still, they have a right to be angry at the attempts to change the system they were fine with.

Forward together

There is only a few questions to ask when spending limited resources. Did the busing improve academic results? Why has most of America rejected busing? What do the studies on the effectiveness of busing say? This school district will have 100 million less next year. Is this realy a good way to spend money?

why were they arrested?
Keep it civil.
