Hey, you all have a right to love Twilight, and I respect that, but... How can anyone call Twilight the best book ever, even casually? The writing isn't great, and it was written for teenagers. There are books like Don Quixote, A Tale of Two Cities, 1984, The Lord of the Rings, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and many, many more? That's not even counting alot of foreign works and books that English professors love (by Ayn Rand, James Joyce, etc.). Sorry, Twilight isnt there.

I actually agree with you.

When I said it was the best book ever, it was from a teenager point of view. I know Twilight is not a classic like Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest (Shakespeare), Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Choderlos de Laclos - French litterature) or even like Il gattopardo (Guiseppe Tomasi Di Lampedusa - Italian litterature) or Sofies Verden (Jostein Gaarder - Norvegian litterature). All books I highly recomend, by the way.

I know, Twilight is not brilliant litterature. But still

@jonasbrothersrox7 I think some people - like yourself - are incapable of letting one mistake pass. This shows how badly the book and film has affected your mind.

Both book and film (more specifically charatcer and plot development) is bad. My recommendation is that you begin to read some real books that are atleast decent.

People say that teenagers should read more often. When they finally do, people start complaining because they think the book sucks. Well it does, but at least it has ecouraged reading!

i agree im a huge fan of the books but i know there are better books out there. I believe there are some people who drive this whole thing to far...ok Rob Pat is hot but come on now..he is not the new Romeo

That's good, I understand. :) Whenever people like something they tend to say "it's the best!" or whatever. Some (I try not to do this) of the book's detractors misinterpret this and attack for no reason, while some Twilight fans (at least that I've seen on the net) really do think Twilight is like Shakespeare.
