Microsoft Zune HD- First Look & Review, set to come out September 5th (HD)

First look of Microsoft's 3rd generation Zune. It is rumored to hit stores September 5th but sources contradict, say the 19th may be, as well. It is rumored to come out in 16 and 32 GB versions.

I hate it when people say that the Zune HD is a copy of the iPod Touch.

The UI's look NOTHING alike, and the players themselves couldn't look more different.

You know what will piss me off? Zune HD will come out with its super fast and battery efficient nVidia Tegra chip and other great features and people will be amazed and excited about it, but then Apple also releases its fourth generation iPod Touch the same month with a built in GPS and camera along with other 'cool' features and start advertising about it which will make people forget about the Zune HD.

As for me, I am not an Apple fan at all, so I'll get the Zune HD anyways :)

you can't compare the older iPod touch to the new Zune HD, for two reasons. #1, the iPod touch would definitely lose, and #2, Apple is beyond that. Its iPod touch has evolved beyond the original and with over 100000 apps, it is quickly becoming a handy pocket computer.

For the Zune HD, it was designed for a different purpose. The media player is still the main component, which it does better than the iPod touch, with the web browser and touchscreen added as an afterthought to add appeal.

yup. so far im liking the zhd. just improve on the browser and I think we have a winner.

and second to that I like the zune hd interface better.. it's more urban. itouch interface is kinda geeky. as for the browser. zune hd is totally stupid. why would they try to put ie on a mobile device. the interface of the browser is so ugly. plus it load slow too... I like the video playback, how it looks, how it organize music etc. I hope micro stop spending times making new models and improve on zhd. there's no point of new models if they have the same bs in every model

uh... sure but still. are you sure that zune hd will be comparable to the ipod 2g... cuz that's how long it took. but then again. with today technologies and ones from 2 years ago... I know apple takes 8 month to perfect their products iphone and itouch, but apple is the only brand that I knew... stick to one model and improve it...

I hate the microsoft brand more than mac. that being said. I would never buy a mac. and I recently picked up a zune.

what more does it need? besides an app store (which apple didnt have untill like a year after the ipod was released).

zune has been our since sept, and it already has a few apps. give it 8 month, which which appe had to get their shiz together. and then we can really compare.
