A cassette of Armenian music that came from abroad changed my world. I was amazed, and couldnt hold back my tears of joy. Up to then I had heard no Armenian melody other than church hymns. I was amazed, because I was hearing an Armenian song for the first time. I was moved, and I cried; because my joy was more than my heart could contain. That joyful but also sad shock, experienced at that tender age, never left my mind. From that moment on, Armenian music became a part of my life.

my grandparents on my mothers side were born in yozgat. What a beautiful voice you have!!!!. I grew up in the 50's and 60'sistening to the old songs and they are more beautiful than the more modern ones.

Hi elianenaman, my mother sang very ofthen when we was busy with huisceeping. I attended to choir of Armenian church at our village. TRT youth choi, Sayat Nova, studying economics and I decided to atend exams of Concervatory of Mimar Sinan in Istanbul to learn how to sing properly.
I just continued to sing .. :-)
