I have Marcus Gunn jaw winking syndrome. When I chew or move my jaw, my left eyelid moves up and down.

  • I have the same thing!! I just found out today for the first time that this is a real syndrome. I've had it all my life and also called it my 'stupid human trick' -- thought I was the only one. Also was made fun of for it. So cool to know I'm not the only one!!

  • I have the same thing for about 15 years. I've been picked on for it every since I started school.

  • Im 35 and I have it in my left eye too. I had a lot of teasing as a child because I have the drooping aspect of it as well. I had surgery on mine. My mom took me to a surgeon at Wilmers Eye Inst at Johns Hopkins and I had a bilateral sling done. It helped with the drooping and lessened the wink but it was still noticeable. Now it doesnt bother me. It gives me character and its a wonder conversation piece and Ice breaker. :)
