Messing around with a tapping sequence from Michael Angelo Batio's instructional column in Guitar World. I added in the final chord sequence to round off the progression.

  • where did you learn guitar self taught?...how long you been playing?

  • @mmim4 Pretty much self taught but I did take some lessons from Jasun Tipton, the guitarist from Zero Hour, a progressive metal band to help me learn some techniques. I've been playing off and on for like 8 or 9 years.

  • you played it pretty nicely btw. do you have a dampener or do you palm mute?

  • @aeee If by dampener you mean that thing Michael Angelo has on his guitars when he plays two necks at the same time then no, I don't have one haha. With this lick since you're string skipping it helps if you can keep your tapping hand close to the strings to minimize the noise, so I guess that is palm muting. =) I think I practice a lot really slowly to make sure I was cutting down the noise, but it could always be better haha...Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

  • where u found the tab?

  • @TheRocker0619 He used to do a Guitar World column and that's where I got it from.

  • i thought this was gonna be an instructional video.... but now that i have heard how awesome this lick is... LEARNING BY EAR!!! BRING IT ONNNNNNNN

  • I love this tap bit dude!

I picked up the Guitar World Learn to Shred DVD with all of Batio's "Time to Burn" columns a couple years ago for only $10. That was probably best $10 I ever spent. My guitar skills improved so much within minutes of watching it, his lessons are simple easy to comprehend & really do turn you into a shred master.

  • in brazil doesn't has this magazine
