While in Southern Gospel music there are several super bass singers, not to take anything from them, but George Younce is in my opinion the BEST ever.

@kevrobster if I remember right (in a cats reunion video on youtube) Kirk Talley said that he wrote the bass part for George on step into the water... which is probably why nobody can ever sing it quite as good as he did!

Would anyone know if that last note on "Love of The Lord" is the lowest note George ever recorded?

I think it probably is. I have about 90-95% of the songs recorded by the Cathedrals and George since 1981 and that is the lowest I have heard from him.
