After watching the movie & going to Aquariums website I am totally enthralled with this little dolphin & any info or video I can find. I love the live web cams of her tank! I don't know if I'll ever be able to afford a trip to see Winter since I became disabled but am grateful for all the video I get to see. Thanks for posting.

@banditjdm I do know that Winter has a form of scoliosis, causing a downward curviture of her spine. Curiously, the prosthetic is actually used to counteract this, and she only wears it periodically. I would guess that this would make it difficult for her to mate, but based on what I saw, she is still a very happy and engaged dolphin.

thank you so much for gettig back with me on this. i never expected a reply, i just thought i'd express what i truely thought about the situation, and the movie! i really am glad to know that both dolphins are well and one day i would like to go see them.so seeing how winter has her handicap, will she ever be able to have babies? or would that compromise her spine? i am very curious about this.

@banditjdm Yeah, they are both amazing animals. Her friend in the pool is a mature dolphin that is deaf. Neither animal can return to the wild due to their injuries, but they seem to have a good time which each other playing in the pool at the aquarium.

i think it's really cool that winter has a pal to keep her company in the ppol.it must be sad to be alone for an animal, but thankfully she's not, and she was lucky that her accident happened when she was a calf so she could learn to use her tail as she grew.the movie was excellent by the way.
