@hzuiel - "You gotta pay to play".

The mcclaren had carbon fiber body panels back then? And we're still driving around in our clunky metal and fragile plastic cars in 2012. Yay for progress.
-
Apparently the Bugatti overheated the first few times they tried the race it.

The guy who posted this video should stop riding the Veyron's balls so hard. The damn thing is a cheater car, its got 4 turbos (and it still barely beat a naturally aspirated engine!)
-
@hiazn69 yes it was.But they should of compared the normal Mclaren F1 to the Enzo.
They compared the racing version of it , like u said.By the way that is called a McLaren F1 LM.It has around 680 hp compared to the normal one who has "only" 627 and it's also lighter. They should of compared the F1 LM with the Ferrari FXX to be a fair comparison.
Anyway both are amazing.
As 4 the Veyron , it isn't a driver's car ,it's just an expensive PIECE OF JUNK.

@alvarulanda The F1 is more expensive because its more rare, and is one of the only supercars that is still supported today.
You can buy a beat up F1, send it to McLaren, and they will strip the whole car down to bare chassis and rebuild it from the ground up with either a rebuilt engine or a brand new engine and updated electronics and suspension.
The Veyron is simply a work of art in technology and engineering. The F1 is a drivers car

@jmore5099 top gear did ages ago, it was quick, but not the fastest.
-
the funny thing is that the mclaren F1 still more expensive than the buggati veyron. and the Mclaren is 16 or 17 years old if im not mistaken. the buggati veyron is an awesome machine but the mclaren was a project that will never be done ever again. Mclaren F1 will always be remembered as the greates super car ever made by man.
-
yeah it was a great sports car and ive seen that theres a faster version of the veyron availiable now that will do 267mph so that is epic

@shredmaster100 i think thats the LM you are thinking of it had like 48bhp more than the standard f1 but was a little slower in a stright line, but owned the corners. i think some people seem to overlook the f1's ablity to be an everyday roadcar but also what the racing versions accomplished in Le Mans.
"meh meh meh, maclaren f1 would have won in the quarter mile" oh shut up. I could have won the first 20 centimeters on foot. Why can't people just accept the race for what it was.
