Rambling Sailors perform the sea song "A Sailor's Prayer" (by Rod MacDonald), along with a variety of guest musicians at the last pub sing of the 2009 Florida Renaissance Festival, March 8, 2009, Deerfield Beach Florida at Quiet Waters Park.

Note: When I first posted this song I mistakenly identified it as "traditional". In fact, it was written and copyrighted by Rod MacDonald in 1978. It's a great song and to me it seems to have a traditional feel.

The Rambling Sailors are: Gregg and Susan Csikos (aka Jenkins & Rosie)

With Guest Musicians:
Abby Michaels (from The Harper & The Minstrel), Tree McInnis (from Wyldefyre), Bret Blackshear (Curious Magic), Martyn Wylde (from Celtic Mayhem & Wyldefyre), and Ty Billings (from Celtic Mayhem).

Note: Best viewed in hi def (the HD button) if you have that option. Be aware, however, that YT claims their 720p hidef streaming is still in beta form, and might look jerky or out-of-sync depending on your download and hardware. For best performance let the stream download completely before playing.

  • Hi SharkeyDoc. There are many good versions of this song by several artists. If you would like a CD with this particular version, check out the first Rambling Sailors CD entitled "Wanderlust". I believe their CDs are available from Amazon.com and from CDbaby.com. I'm glad you enjoyed their performance and this video.
