Drums - First Play

Just got my drums yesterday, and had to post something. The camera's little microphone doesn't do a fantastic job of representing the sound of the drums, I wish it did. Also, please understand this video is not designed to bring attention to myself. I am not a drummer, I only want to broadcast the kit and the cymbals. This is a Grestch Catalina Club Jazz, with Zildjian A Custom cymbals. 12in Hats, 16in Crash, 18 Fast Crash, 20in Ride. All Evans heads. EC Snare, EC2 Toms, EMAD2 Kick. All dw 9000 hardware, 5000 pedals. I can fit the entire kit into a 3x5ft space, that's my favorite part. Again, I am not a drummer, only a worshipper. I hope you like the new kit, I love it.

Could you tell me please how do you mount your ride cymbal?.

@godzuki444 Yeah no problem.  I wanted it to "ride" right above the Kick. All the stands out there are way too tall. I got a DW "dogbone" I think they call it. It's the thick metal piece that is clamped to the stand on your left. Then I added a DW additional cymbal arm, that slips into the dogbone mount.

DW is very pricey for their gear, but this system works very very well for me, I'd highly recommend it. It places the cymbal right where I want it and eliminates a cymbal stand. thanks!

@mymoldypizza1234 The Shell Pack actually shipped with a little hardware riser.  I'm not sure where I would get one if it ever breaks, but the kit definitely comes with one. :)

an easier solution to that is to stick the cymbal stand rod in the tom mount and out a tilter on it. i've been doing that for years.

how does this drum set compare to the catalina club rock kit? i've been leaning on getting a jazz kit but i'd like to buy another floor tom with it. so do you also know what size the floor tom is and what kind of cymbals come stock with it?

Sick sounding bass drum. Just a piece of advice, you might wanna raise that snare height, it's way too low to be comfortable for any person imo.
