The Boston Symphony orchestra won a Grammy Award for Best Orchestral Performance from their recording of Ravel's "Daphnis Et Chloé".
The album is available in SACD format and as a digital download from the BSO's website.
Ravels Suite No. 2 from the ballet "Daphnis et Chloé", a lush and glorious orchestral showpiece, closed last week's set of concerts at Symphony Hall, January 28-30.

  • Maestro Levine is like a stage coach driver keeping the 'horses' from stampeding--and a mighty fine job he did too. Like any great conductor, he's already done three quarters of the work shaping the interpretation before the performance, of course. I noted he is not standing and seems in poor shape. Hope you feel better Maestro!
