Worlds Quickest Nissan Skyline - Project GTST 7.45seconds @ 187 MPH 31/05/10

31st May 2010 - Worlds fastest ever run by a Nissan Skyline at the Main Event at Santa Pod in the UK.

For those wondering we had to give the other car a 0.9 sec headstart due to dial in times.

Hi - when you get to the extremes of drag racing RWD is the place to be - as seen in all huge power drag cars ie/ Pro Mod, top doorslammer, top fuel etc

@cosworthcraze08 - you are spot on :-) came off about 50 yards before the line as the shift light came on in top gear & threw me a little bit as not happened before (as we had never run this quickly before) & didnt want to hurt the engine.

As it turned out not an issue & just a case of raising the shift light by a few hundred rpm & not a problem

No lifting off going forward :-)

reece still has the fastest AWD skyline in the world.

@MeanMikeJericho I think it's because you lose hp from the crank to the wheels, which is why bhp is always greater than whp, so if you have to distribute power to all 4 wheels instead of just 2, there's more power being lost. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i always thought 4WD is better......so why is the gtst with RWD the fastest skyline in the world ??

@Destronus its actually a disadvantage to run a 4wd drag car, theres really no surprises that the Rwd RB26 powered gts-t has a quicker time

It doesnt matter on the package, GTR, GTST, Nur, etc.. It matters on whats in the inside, weight reduction and tge driver.
