Man Stan Getz was the best......I remember when girl from Ipanema came out on radio.....I was 17...... I had visions of going to South America to find this tall and tan and dark lovely girl

Not on what original release? I seem to remember exactly this version on the Getz/Gilberto album I had back in the mid-sixties...

@markrevelle1 This version of Corcovado was recorded a few months later after the Getz/Gilberto (1963) album the original was on. This version is on the Getz au Go Go (1964) album recorded at the venerable Greenwich Village venue, the Café Au Go Go, in mid-August of 1964.
