Online Novels, Literary Blogs, and More

Dec 12th, 2008 by literarycritic

Online Fiction is a medium that has been growing since 1994 with Douglas Anthony Cooper’s Delirium. In 1996, Geoff Ryman came out with his interactive novel 253. With the rise of blogging technology the medium has changed dramatically, giving rise to guides, directories, and review sites. In this episode, I discuss some of my favorite online novels, along with literary blogs and book reviews that I visit regularly. To view the entire broadcast visit: http://literarycritic.podbean.com

  • You are clearly very familiar with blogging tools, and I find all of this really interesting -- for example, having a blog for the "work in progress" and then one for the revised book. Would you perhaps be able to do a video blog about which blogging sites you like for which purposes, and how you've set these up to interact with each other? (I like the idea of blogging fiction, but am not really sure how to best go about it.)
