Sports Director/Anchor Felipe Valenzuela joined Univision 45 News team as a sports Anchor and reporter in October 2003 and since January 2006 is also Director of the department.

During his career as a journalist has interviewed sports personalities most important national and global level and has covered sporting events of concern including World Cup Germany 2006, Gold Cup 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2011.

Two World Series in 2001 between the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. New York Yankees and Houston Astros vs. Chicago White Sox in 2005, NFL Football, College Football Championship, World Boxing Championships, etc.

Felipe has won major awards, including an Emmy and has also been nominated for best sports commentator on the Emmy Rocky Mountain Region.
