Israels ground offensive set to last

Israel has launched a ground offensive in Gaza, aimed at curbing militant rocket attacks into Israeli territory. It follows more than a week of intensive air strikes which have targeted Hamas safehouses in the area.

I can't stand how Israel is trying to build up Hamas' power and say that they are a "military machine." Israel has an extremely strong military and they know they can crush Hamas. The problem is that they don't care how many civilians they kill in the process. What legitimate reason could they possibly have for demolishing civilian's homes like that? They don't care about Islamic people (and vice versa). This is why religion shouldn't influence government, and America shouldn't be funding them.
