When I heard about the earthquake and tsunami I was scared to death Japan is like my second home even if I haven't been there but someday I hope all visit Japan. In March 11,2012 all give a minute of silence for those who died and died saving people like that mother who died saving her little baby such a beautiful thing that mother did.

I was in a Japanese class in US high school. Our teacher was Japanese and I always wonder how hard it was hitting her, but she never let anything show, true to Japanese culture.
I ended up doing my own branch within this larger fundraiser donating new socks and writing letters to victims (because it was winter, and also because no one could really wash clothes. It was really gratifying to send them that. I raised hundreds of pairs, some for people of all ages. I hope I made someone smile :)

@auntbecky Wow you need to go back and read my posts. I love my country and I'm proud to be an American. I think you misread my post.

@JehovahSaveUs I got an idea. How about you and the guys that like to rag on america go and lock yourselves up together in a little room and leave us decent people alone.

I was (and am currently) living in Japan when this earthquake happened. School had just ended for the day and I was walking to my bus when I felt some rumbling underneath me. I stayed put for about 30 seconds but when the shaking got bad enough to make me fall to the ground I knew that I had to get out of the building. After I got out, I grabbed ahold of the railing of a staircase outside of the school and watched as all the chaos happened. I will never forget that day for as long as I live...
@siccckhead
You came back??!!
:-D
Did you ask your teacher to explain International Time Zones to you yet?
Can you understand now why the other 1.1 million people who watched this understood Japan has a different time zone to the U.S. ?
:-D
