I was in a nursing home in Rockford that had these. They are so small! :)

To my understanding I dont think the noise restrictions apply for government buildings. I work in a state office and we have horn strobes in our entire complex even in the offices. Hospitals and nursing homes do have noise restrictions. And some school systems I believe Elementary schools have noise restrictions. And I suspect Baltimore County is now days one of them.

@DigitalEagleInc I think there may be noise restrictions in hospitals and nursing homes. Government buildings. I dont know the situation. But I did once see a Youtube video of a fire alarm test in a hospital and the hospital had Chime strobes except in the boiler room and the boiler room had horn/strobes. The rest of the building didnt. I wish Elementary schools were restricted from Horn strobes to. Government buildings I think still use horn strobes as I work in a MD State office that has them.

I think EST may stand for Edwards Systems technology but Im not sure. I know the E in EST stands for Edwards.

These are used and installed in locations where the Local Authority Having Jurisdiction says it's permitted.
-
Couldn't these also be a good alternative for the usual strobe only in bathrooms?
-
my high school had these alarms everywhere, but ours had a horn set on code 3 instead

Well, the box and alarm both say "EST Genesis" on it.
