Through what seems to be a providential act, while filming one of the last scenes of my movie at the WWII Memorial in Washington, DC, I meet Mr. Dell Maurer who crossed the Ludendroff railway bridge at Remagen on March 8, 1945. He agreed to an impromptu interview. The video of this interview is very moving to all of us who lost loved ones during the action around Remagen. The US Veterans Administration estimates there are less than 1,000 men still living that crossed the Bridge at Remagen. The current US population is 311 million. The chance of me meeting a veteran who crossed at Remagan - one in 311,0000. Maybe you can better understand why meeting Mr. Del Maurer was such a moving experience. For more information www.pfcharoldbmccarn.com
