Interesting to listen to; the opening guitars are sort of reminiscent of the Everly Brothers' "Devoted To You." I'm guessing this was recorded as a filler track for the "My Town, My Guy And Me" album, and that Lesley probably heard the Fashions' version of this issued the year before. I still think the Cake's version from 1967 is definitive, but this is okay -- though nowhere tight enough to have been issued as a single.

A very fine song I first heard by the Cake a few years ago. It is a shame that we never got to hear either version on the radio as hit records in the 1960s.
