My new (upgraded) rain barrel. 300 gal capacity, electric pump, filter, float switch, recirculation valve, everything to make a killer rain barrel setup. (Sorry for the night vid)
@dragonxfly59@dragonxfly59 It's a Wayne PLS100. I've decided against the solar setup, mainly because the reserve batteries required would create so much waste (when I'm done with them) that it would eclipse the small amount of power I consume by turning it on for 20 min a few times a week. As far as powering asprinkler system, I'd say without a doubt. The output is equal to that of a standard well pump that a lot of homes already have, plus I link several sprinklers together all the time.
What is the model number of the Wayne Utility Pump? You mentioned you would be switching to solar power. What pump will you use then? I'm wondering if such a barrel pump combination could create enough pressure to run an underground pvc lawn irrgation system?
@thebestdriverever It's just how it worked out. I usually get so wrapped up in a project that I don't finish until late in the evening (1-2am) then I'm so excited when it's finished that I want to show it off! Thus, the videos at night. :)
does your pump hold prime in the set up that you have? with it flowing from the bottom of the tank?

I would have loved to have seen this video with better lighting.
Thanks for creating....

I enjoy watching your two videos, and seeing the ingenious add-on's. However, I'm curious: Why do you film your videos at night?
