@clovermoocow Hi, sorry for the very late reply. Yes, I think Lola only does 40's songs, but I could be wrong as I've only seen her at 40's events. Both Lola and her husband are wonderful people and very friendly and approachable. If you look up 1940's events on the internet, I'll guarentee that Lola will be at some of them - definitely worth the trip to see her.

@Apophisguard Yeah pity there's not much of her out there. I heard she was on TV or something in a program. Anyway, wondering what her story is...does she just like the 40s or did she do it because there was a niche and she's a professional performer? I think she's one of the most interesting persons in Britain at the moment. She really pulls the 40s thing off amazingly well. And I never knew these 40s events even existed until now...nice, have to catch one one day.

Always thought what women wore in the 40s was very unflatering to the female figure and very stale and "un"sexy. But after seeing a beautiful lady like Lola Lamour in some of these dresses...wow. Much more sexy than the modern ones you have today..really shows off a nice figure. Nice..
