One of the many Warning before riding Disney's Mission Space at Epcot. This particular one is just before you get on the attraction itself. There are several warning signs and videos before this final one. http://about.me/jimmybop
I'm going for the first time in 8 school days (Feb. 10th!!) and I'm really excited. I'm 15 and I want to go on this no matter what. Any advice? I love roller coasters.
@Cla900 its not that bad. u rnt in a very tight space, and its actualy fairly roomy. if you can handle some of the worse rollar coasters out there (i hate rollar coasters though ^_^) you can handle this. it really isnt that bad and i believe that they have made it less intense since it first came out.
@ThatAmazingGirl34 eh. i went on this 2 years ago(orange). didnt get sick at all. the amount of Gs that is put out by this ride is about 2.5. an actual launch is about 3 Gs, so its not that far off. damn this ride was a blast though. went on it 3 times while there.
I totally agree! FINALLY, someone who agrees with me! I get SO AGGRIVATED when I hear that someone died at Disney and didn't use their common sense while on the ride! Ugh.... I could go on and on about that! (lol.)
Oh, and btw, I saw you said that you were a former cast member. I'm going in June for the Disney College Program, and I SPECIFICALLY asked to work at Mission: Space. Any advice before I go in June??? Thanks!
@ericabarker: Don't feel silly about it. That stuff normally happens alot. The first time I went on it, when I got off, even though I was thrilled with it, I got really dizzy and had to sit for awhile. Since Mission: Space is using the same technology that NASA uses for sending off its astronauts, and since this is supposed to be "astronaut training", don't be surprised if alittle sickness happens. Gets the best of us all :) .
when i rode that ride one of the warnings was "dont close your eyes or you will suffer of sight"

I rode this when it first came out and got a panic attack. It was very rough.
