"While speaking of animals who live as members of the family I'm inspired to talk about dogs, because talking about dogs and laying down the law about dogs has become almost a business lately. In my view it's quite simple. A dog should be civilised but he should not be dominated."

Sorry about the poor quality but many thanks to the viewer who recorded this off-air and sent me a copy. 'Old Country' ran for 3 years. It succeeded 'Out of Town' which ran every Friday evening for 21 years on Southern Television, between 1960-1981.
