Does the Furminator DeShedding Tool really work?
IF you are at your wits end and want to know if you should really spend the money to stop dog shedding with the Furminator here's my opinion of the Furminator.

If you haven't noticed already it's better to wait to use the Furminator until after the dog has fully dried as per the instructions. It works OK on wet fur but it definitely works more efficiently on dry fur. I've found the Furminator is better at pulling up the undercoat than in removing the topcoat. Shampooing seems to really take off the most topcoat. It doesn't seem to matter which shampoo you use either. The Furminator shampoo seems pricely to me.
