  • @TheHappyBallerina hyperextended*

and, that's how we are taught to jump and leap. there are many different techniques, so it is not necessarily wrong. i beg to differ, the height of the jumps is not the "only good thing." please be respectful of the teacher and the technique.

  • Yeah stereo hearts! <3

  • @thelovingdancer ok sorry

  • @thelovingdancer I see your point and I understand that people are taught different techniques, but please do not call out a technique to be "wrong" if you do not know the full story or reasons why something is different. In addition, there is no intention to "trick" people. And, please be respectful.

  • @DancerProduction Our teacher doesn't teach the extensions to be in front of the bodies. She's aware that we don't have perfect hips, and she notes once in a while that we are allowed to bring our legs slightly forward of our body. This is to prevent sickling and not turning out in attempt to get legs directly to the side of the body. She would rather that our legs be turned out and slightly in front of the body, then forcing the legs to the side with turned in hips.

  • @thelovingdancer I am with @TheHappyBallerina ,, this isnt the proper technique you guys should be learning,,, its wrong, I dont know why the teacher made you learn this technique, the correct way of doing it is by doing a straight split in the air, not by putting your legs in front of you!!!! and you guys are not tricking people,, because THE PEOPLE noticee!!
