@AshleyFan93Rosa miss spain won it - but was "dethroned" before her year is up because she appeared in a porn movie back in spain..... so in essence - as they say about the first runner up - which was miss wales - she would become the miss universe. however - as ms. spain's reign was almost at the very end - they did not bother to proclaim miss wales as the miss universe.... interestingly - miss wales was also declared miss world that same year (1974)...

@maccha280 The Philippines was very much different then than when the Ms. Universe 1994 was held in Manila, the 2nd time around. Filipinos were respected and looked up to by the world and we were categorized as a developing country. But after EDSA, this is what we are now.

WHEN THIS PAGEANT WAS HELD IN THE PHILIPPINES. I HAD YET TO BE BORN SINCE I WAS BORN THE YEAR AFTER. HOWEVER, I WAS ABLE TO WATCH THE 1994 EDITION MYSELF WHEN THE PAGEANT WAS ONCE AGAIN HELD IN THE COUNTRY FOR THE SECOND TIME. MABUHAY!!!!

i love the stage, it's beautiful yet it doesn't compete w/ the girls in getting attention. ms aruba is stunning, ms philippines is very pretty and her looks are so 20th century. i noticed, the gowns looked modern and this is 1974, huh!
