Nearly one hundred Iranians and equally upset supporters rallied for an investigation into the Iranian election results on Monday, June 16th, 2009 at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.
"Where is our VOTE?" the crowd chanted as they streamed through the campus mall. Onlookers cheered and honked as sidewalks ran green with posters, banners, and t-shirts.
Green has become not only the symbol of the opposition candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi, but one of the most basic rights of a democracy, free and fair elections.
We wait now to see what the Iranian government’s next move will be. As long as those disenfranchised voters in Iran walk the streets in protest, they will be supported by their country men and women abroad.
