  • This movie was so well done. So visionary. It's too bad it was lost on simple minds who wanted explosions instead. I would LOVE a quality remake, but again, ESPECIALLY now that teens seem to be the only thing Hollywood cares about, that would never happen. If I saw Rob Pattinson as Paul I would jump off the highest building wearing dynamite underwear. Maybe Fincher could do the remake...eno soundtrack...NO YOUNG ACTORS. And no dumbed down script. Screw the simple minded.

  • Arrakis....Dune......Desert Planet.

  • @petunia3331 what a novel idea. dynamite underwear! why didn't i think of that?

  • @Robberick Dude, its only a book. Did you ever think that the children of Arrakis could be the children of earth. Think about it.

  • Man - one could put the soundtrack on and hop in bed and have a mindscape into another world with this OST!!!

  • @petunia3331

I respect the sentiment expressed here, but Paul Atreides was 15 in the first book. Young actors would be fine for young roles, but it would be best if they were complete no-names.

  • @Gazdatronik Holy shit you're right! I never would have noticed, and that's one of my favorite symphonies. Thumbs up to Toto for using it!

  • Never a drop of rain on Arrakis.

  • @petunia3331 Young actors are fine... just make sure they can get the job done right like Harry Potter's actors did

  • @petunia3331 One caveat, Patrick Stewart plays the Padisha Emperor Shaddam IV.
